Midnight

“Midnight” Red Rhone

$25

Vintage: 2010
AVA: Yakima Valley

Wine: 2010 “Midnight”

Blend:                    40% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 23% Cinsualt, 7% Counoise

What used to be called MSG around the winery, has now evolved to G.M.C.C..  However, we still call it MSG even though Cinsault & Counoise have replaced the Syrah. Grenache, Mourvédre, Cinsault & Counoise make up this Southern Rhone style blend. The bright vibrant raspberry Grenache,  the meaty, earthy, complex Mourvedre, the elegant earthy, strawberry filled Cinsault, & the raspberry jam Counoise make this blend make this wine so lovable that it’s people’s favorite since the 2008 vintage. Dedicated to the long harvest hours we work after midnight, it will charm you by the supple flavors and the win you over with the complex yet harmonious balance of which was aged for 16 months in oversized (Puncheons) barrels. They only way it will disappoint you is in its production.  With only 160+ cases made, it wasn’t meant for everyone to grab a bottle, so take my word, this wine will satisfy your wine needs.
