“Stand Alone” has always been the best of the best, so to speak. Each year, in our opinions, we take the best barrels we have. We set it aside and allow it to age for additional 6 months. It is a matter of making the best wine possible, from the best vineyard and best barrels. This year the “Stand Alone” comes from Wallula Vineyard, which stands about 1300 feet and overlooks the Columbia River. The cool breezes at night, the reflection from the water, all plays an important part in this one of a kind vineyard. Known for the warm day and cool nights, the vineyard typically ripens gently and usually the fruit comes in a little later than most.
